Unforgettable Day: Konnect Kids Party Recap

Before the Event

A heartfelt thank-you to the Konnect team for their dedication in planning this event. The preparation was a team effort, involving:

• Inviting kids & coordinating their transportation from 5+ regions that we serve.

• Preparing food and giveaways.

• Crafting the event program to deliver an unforgettable experience for the kids.

• Calling and sending sms invitations to parents who registered their children for the party.

• Organizing the event location and more,

During the Event

On the big day, the kids were transported from their respective regions to our Zimmerman office in Nairobi. Despite the morning rain, the turnout exceeded our expectations, with kids arriving dressed warmly and ready for fun. Initially, we expected 120 kids, but when 198+ kids showed up, we were even more grateful that parents could trust us with the fruit of their wombs!

The event kicked off with registration, followed by entertaining video sessions to warm up the kids and build excitement. Then, our lively MC energized the crowd with dance competitions, giving kids the opportunity to showcase their talents.

Additionally, face painting made the kids look even more colorful and it was lovely to see the smiles of different faces painted creatively! To top it off, during the fun Q&A session, kids won amazing gifts like books, lunch boxes, tablets, hula hoops, and more.
How could we wrap up without energizing our bodies? The meal was delicious and the kids came back for second and even third servings! 

There was enough for everyone and here's one interaction that took place during the program:
Konnect team member: "Would you like to add some more food?"  
Kids: "No, I'm full."

After the Event

After the meal, the event facilitator wrapped up the day with fun activities, and then we guided each child to their respective vans, which took them back home. Thanks be to God, everyone arrived safely!

Confirming their safe arrival was a priority, and we were delighted to hear from parents afterward who expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the fun-filled day. This event was more than just a party; it’s evidence of our commitment to the communities we serve and our belief in the power of community, konnection, and celebration.

As 2024 comes to an end, we look forward to continuing our mission of positively impacting lives.
