Konnect Mothers Day Treat Brings Joy, Wellness and Celebration to Community Mothers.
Konnect successfully hosted a heartwarming and impactful Mothers Day Treat at the Zimmerman Hub, bringing together mothers from different parts of the community for a memorable day of appreciation, wellness, laughter and connection.
The event, organized as part of Konnect’s community social impact initiatives, was designed to celebrate the strength, sacrifice and resilience of mothers while creating a safe and joyful space for them to relax, interact and feel valued.
From the moment participants arrived, the atmosphere was filled with warmth and excitement as each mother was welcomed with a rose flower and chocolate before proceeding to a vibrant photo booth experience that captured beautiful memories throughout the day.
One of the key highlights of the event was the wellness session facilitated in partnership with Health Reach, where mothers received valuable health education and wellness guidance focused on improving their everyday wellbeing and encouraging proactive health care practices.
The gathering also featured a deeply inspiring life experience talk from a former inmate who shared her journey of resilience, transformation and hope. Her story touched many participants and sparked meaningful conversations around perseverance, motherhood and second chances.
To keep the engagement lively and interactive, mothers participated in a fun “Bowl of Motherhood Questions” segment where they shared personal experiences, lessons and joyful moments from their motherhood journeys. The room was filled with laughter, reflection and emotional connection as different mothers opened up and encouraged one another.
Excitement continued during the spin-the-wheel challenge, where lucky participants walked away with household essentials and surprise gifts. The activity created a vibrant atmosphere and added an element of fun and appreciation to the celebration.
As part of the appreciation package, every shortlisted mother received a shopping hamper containing basic household food items alongside refreshments and a warm community experience. The event concluded with a group photo session that symbolized unity, gratitude and the spirit of community.
