The Konnect Kids & Teens Fun Days came to life in spectacular fashion, delivering three unforgettable days of excitement, creativity, and impact across Kamiti road, Kibera, and Outering road. What began as a simple idea to engage children and teenagers turned into a vibrant celebration of talent, learning, and community inspiration.

The journey kicked off in Zimmerman hub, where the energy was electric from the very start. Children from across our communities turned up in large numbers eager and ready to participate, setting a strong foundation for the day that was. The seamless registration and well-coordinated activities ensured every participant felt welcomed and included.

The kids’ morning sessions (ages 5–11) were filled with joy and creativity. From colorful painting and engaging art activities to interactive puzzles and fun games, the young participants were immersed in a lively and imaginative environment. The talent show stood out as a major highlight, giving children the confidence to sing, dance, and showcase their unique abilities.

One of the most magical moments for the kids was the live magic showcase. The performances by Sadiq the community magician, captivated the young audience, sparking awe, laughter, excitement, and a sense of wonder that made the experience truly unforgettable.

The momentum carried into Kibera, where the turnout and enthusiasm grew even stronger. The community embraced the initiative wholeheartedly, with more children and teens stepping forward to participate and express themselves. The atmosphere was vibrant, reflecting the power of community-driven engagement.

In the afternoon sessions, teens (ages 12–17) took the spotlight with high-energy and competitive activities. The FIFA PS4 Challenge drew intense participation, with gamers battling it out in a thrilling display of skill and determination, quickly becoming a crowd favorite.

Beyond gaming, the teens also showcased their talents on stage, delivering impressive performances in music, dance, and spoken word. The platform allowed them to express themselves confidently while discovering and nurturing their abilities.

A standout component of the teens’ program was the STEM & IT mentorship session, which added depth and purpose to the event. It inspired curiosity, encouraged critical thinking, and opened young minds to opportunities in science, technology, and innovation.

The event concluded in Umoja, wrapping up the three-day experience on a high note.
